Meet me, Katie Kermaani

I am a fine artist who creates plein air landscapes, portrait, and still life oil paintings for collectors, organizations, and individuals.  My vision is to invoke feelings of curiosity, peace, love, and gratitude through art.  Art, whether you are viewing or creating it, can be a therapeutic tool that anchors you into the present moment or promote creative thinking.  The practice of painting or viewing art, guides you to a state of meditation and consciousness, a higher state of being and observation.  I believe that art is an expression of the way we view the world in a particular place and time.  I find the uninhibited nature of children and the nuances of nature to be inspiring.

My small business’ mission is to be economically and environmentally conscious while promoting the accessibility of fine art.  When you purchase fine art, you are investing in something that will last longer than a lifetime.  Fine art, oil paintings with a varnish to protect the work, are meant to be enjoyed by generations and are heirloom quality.  I am also very aware of my supply chain and make a strong effort to purchase supplies through small and local businesses.  It is also my mission to promote the betterment of the fine artist community as a whole and for fine art to be more accessible and inclusive to a wider community.

I continue to hone my craft under my mentor Diana K. Gibson, of the Diana K Gibson Fine Art Studio at Brownstone Mill in Midland Park, NJ.  Previously, I studied under Diana K. Gibson and John Philip Osborne at the Ridgewood Art Institute in Ridgewood, NJ.
